More Crap from Christian Voice – and the National Front is left in the shit!

We at the Freethinker have come to expect some pretty wacky statements from Britain’s God-Botherer-in-Chief, Stephen Green, Christian Voice’s head honcho, but this pronouncement beggars even our belief.

Let me put his statement in context. Green was miffed that fascists in the form of the National Front were given permission to mount a demonstration against those attending August’s Gay Pride event in Brighton.

In a report on CV’s website, Green asks:

What were the National Front doing turning up half-way down the parade? Homosexuals are not black or Asian as a rule, they are overwhelmingly white, and therefore totally scrumptious (sic) from a National Front point of view. If the NF get too close to where we are any time, they’ll prompt some preaching against racism from Acts 17:26 and Eph 3:15.

Ooo-er. Bet that will frighten them off.

Green continues:

Funny how the NF have just picked up on the idea of protesting at gay pride events, three years after we started in London 2005. Could it be that some homosexual in the NF has worked out that their presence could devalue ours? No, they aren’t that bright, surely?

Green then posts a link to a website which claims that Nazism was all the fault of homosexuals.

The spirit of homosexuality is still as inseparable from national socialism as it was when the Nazi Party began its obscene life in a Munich gay bar.

If this is true, then why on earth would the fascist National Front want to join homophobic Christian Voice barmpots in opposing Gay Pride events?

Green then states that the National Front “didn’t do desperately well’ at Brighton’s Pride event. The fact that CV fared just as badly is glossed over. Indeed, Green’s report makes it sound as if the 20 or so protestors he managed to entice from under a rock to represent the Christian Voice (of Delusion) was a huge success.

The National Front, meanwhile, makes no bones about its disastrous demo in Brighton. In a Stormfront posting under the heading National Front Demo Set Up By Brighton Police To Be Attacked By Poofters! a deeply hurt Pete Williamson, British People’s Party National Organiser, snivelled:

Earlier today me and BPP Comrade Buster met with about ten NF Comrades, and embarked upon the planned NF demo in Brighton. Bring back Clause 28 was the theme, as around a half a million homosexuals [actually around 150,000 people, not all of whom were gay] descended upon the city. Brighton Police … designated us an area on the corner of Baker Street and London Road. This was hardly a suitable area for us to demonstrate under any circumstances, but it got worse. With no barrier, and only two very disinterested coppers, we were told to start our demo there and then. As soon as we put our first banner up we were attacked. We fought back, and considering our group was made up of two old age pensioners, a woman, four young children and just six fighting fit men, we stood our ground until it had got so out of hand that the police ordered us to leave. Hit by plastic bottle of soft drink that had not been opened, I was sporting a black eye and broken glasses. Others received cuts and bruises, but we are not the surrendering types. Next year, the National Front will be demanding that more members turn up. And we in the BPP will be expecting the same, turn up and support our nationalist Comrades. AND DON’T LEAVE US IN THIS **** EVER AGAIN!
