Let us not also forget that the Darfuris being slaughtered by the Sudanese government and their janjaweed surrogates are in fact Moslems. I doubt very much whether the genocide they are suffering has anything to do with obscure debates within the CofE Synod.

I wonder what we’d find out if Western-style media attention were brought to bear on all those African bishops? I suspect it would be a lot spicier than the odd bit of gayitude. I suspect that a proper investigative journalist or two would find massive corruption and sexual depravity. But at the moment, because they are virtually free of media scrutiny at home, peole like this bish can pose as holier than us. Well, our Anglicans, anyway.

Oh, and Muslims have been killing Christians in Darfur for a few years now, because they’re members of different religions (and races). The usual reasons, in fact. No gayosity required.
