Rinehart – another damn Christian with an unhealthy obsession with bum sex
Oklahoma Commissioner Brent Rinehart, in an attempt to get re-elected county commissioner for District 2, has just mailed out an excruciating manifesto in the form of a comic book that lampoons gays and lambasts his political opponents.
It also features an angel who is allied to the commissioner and Satan, who supports his critics; uses the term “anal sodomy”, and misspells the word “paedophile”.
Toga-wearing gays – what’s that all about? – political figures, trench coated henchmen, concerned residents and Rinehart himself make up the rest of the comic’s cast of characters.
In one sequence, Satan ungrammatically declares:
If I can get the kids to believe homosexuality is normal!
The angel replies:
Hey Satan, not with Brent around you won’t!
According to Tulsa World, among those targeted in the comic are Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson and Sheriff John Whetsel.
Edmondson filed felony campaign finance charges against Rinehart last year, alleging Rinehart and his former campaign manager illegally funded his 2004 campaign for county commissioner. A trial has been scheduled for September.
Said Edmondson:
A drowning man tends to thrash about. Nothing Rinehart says is worthy of comment or rebuttal.
Whetsel called the book “extremely pathetic and very bigoted.
I was taken aback that in 2008, a candidate would use that type of inflammatory material and do it under the name of being a Christian.
Welcome to the real world, Mr Whetsel!
The strip, which Rinehart said took him two months to write, opens with a proclamation that he is a Republican and Christian who stands up to “liberal good ol’ boys” at the county courthouse.
Said County Assessor Leonard Sullivan, a Republican who has had public disagreements with Rinehart
I do not know who the good ol’ boys at the courthouse are. I’ve really encouraged him on more than one occasion to get professional help. He really needs it.
Keith Gaddie, a University of Oklahoma political science professor, called the book “one of the strangest things” he’d ever seen.
I’ve never seen a comic book with the phrase ‘anal sodomy’ in it before. That was a new one for me.

Technically, “sodomy” means ‘illicit sex’, rather than the common meaning of ‘anal sex’, so using “anal sodomy” is more of a clarifying term. I doubt that Rinehart actually knows that, though, being as illiterate as he is.

I have to say, I know it’s not very PC and probably a bit judgemental, but when I saw his photo I thought “he’s gay”.
Which, after reading the article, turned out to be fairly ironic.
Also, how does he spell pedophile (the American spelling of paedophile) wrong twice, in two different ways (Pedifile and Pedaphile)? That’s almost impressive, in a way.

i faced this freak when he was a city councilman. he told me that day that “god told him to vote against the homosexuals. we later won a landmark legal case in the supreme court that nixed his vote. the reason he is on trouble is because he used illeagal funds to make robo-calls to tell everyone his oponent was gay. the other person won in a landslide! lol
