WHATâS with Muslims and their endless bloody fatwas? Are they entirely incapable of making their own minds up about ANY issue without first having to get the nod from a bunch of primitive, bearded âscholarsâ holed up in some distant cave?

This photo of two gay Iranian youths exposed the barbarity of Islam in Iran. Is this how the Norwegian Islamic Council would deal with homosexuality?
We pose the question because we have just learned that the Norwegian Islamic Council canât make up their minds about an issue that appears to be troubling them deeply.
So what are they agonising over this time? Potato crisps which may have come into contact with alcohol in their manufacture? What to do with guide dogs in their taxis? Is the world flat or round?
No, they want to know whether homosexuality should be punishable by death. As if this had any relevance whatsoever in Norway, which in 2003 was at the forefront of a call to end capital punishment around the world.
The Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten reports that:
The Council is still waiting for a reply from the European Fatwa Council before it decides whether or not it is in favour of the death penalty for homosexuality.
Last November the NIC, for reasons best known to themselves, turned to the European Fatwa Council to ask what attitude it should have towards homosexuals.
The EFC seems to have dodged the issue. At its annual meeting in Paris three weeks ago, it failed to debate the subject, leaving their querulous, insecure Norwegian rug-butting brethren without an answer.
So the NIC, which represents 60,000 Muslims in Norway, will not say whether it is for or against the death penalty for homosexuals, until the EFC council has spoken.
Said the head of the NIC, Senaid Kobilica:
It’s very important to have the European Fatwa Council with us in difficult matters like this. I am not in favour of the death penalty, but there are Islamic texts that various people understand differently. This is why we need to know the attitude of the authority before we make a decision.
If the EFC supports the death penalty for gays, and tells the NIC do do the same, what next? Will the NIC start wailing that their religious rights are being trampled on if they are denied the right to stone, hang, or toss Norwegian homosexuals off tall buildings?
When will Muslims grow up and learn to live in the REAL world?

The fact that residents of a european country are seriously discussing the death penalty for gay people is disgusting. Sod political correctness Fatwa or no fatwas the Norwegian goverment should have the guts to speak up now.
I have not seen or heard any comments on this here in Norway, but we usually gives the damn until they try to do anything. The police arrested and fined two preachers earlier this year for “agressive” preaching disturbing public law and order: http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2008/may/08052208.html (only english translation I could find) http://www.aftenposten.no/nyheter/iriks/article2528637.ece You can see the whole thing here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6U0xAISax4 and here http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=Preacher717&p=r
“At its annual meeting in Paris three weeks ago”
And why was this not raided by the police for the open encouragement of violence against Salman Rushdie, among others, that was almost certianly going on there?
I’m in favour of free speech, so if people want to say, publicly, that gays ought to be hanged, let them. But let other people say, openly, that such Muslim bigots should be deported, back to the filthy, backward, violent and corrupt nations they left so hastily.
